3. Do the vehicles have manual or automatic transmission?

We are offering a range of Vehicles with both transmissions, but the majority of our cars are with automatic transmission.

4. Is there a km limitation?

‘Challenger Limousine and Rent a Car’ has km limitations and excess charges/ km, depending on the type of vehicle and agreement.

5. Is there a Speed Limit?

Speed limits may be variable and are normally indicated on a traffic sign. Speed limits are commonly set by the legislative bodies of the country. The Qatar Traffic Department enforced the restrictions and shall be followed. Accruing Traffic Violations will have to be covered by the driver/ customer.

6. Are there restrictions on where I can travel?

‘Challenger Limousine and Rent a Car’ Rental Agreements are restricted to the State of Qatar only and don’t allow the crossing of boarders with the rental car.

7. Can I take a pet along with me?

Any damages of interior or exterior caused by transporting items, people, pets, etc. have to be covered by the customer.

9. Can I book a same-day rental car reservation?

You can book a rental car reservation at any time. In order to be able to provide you with a variety of vehicles, we advise to make the booking at the earliest.

However, we will try our best to accommodate last minute requests or/ & find compromises.

10. What is a rental car day?

Rental days are calculated on a 24-hour clock. In order to avoid being charged an additional day, you will need to book the same pick up and drop off time.

If you return your car later than the scheduled drop-off date and time, you may be charged for additional rental hours or days at the discretion and prevailing rate of your rental car company.

11. How long can I rent a car?

You can rent a car for as long as you desire (min. 1day).

12. Can I book a one-way rental?

Yes. You can book a rental car reservation with a different pick-up and drop-off location (also known as a "one-way" rental) or collect it from the office.

In case you choice to have the car delivered, all mandatory documents have to be submitted in advanced, along with the signed agreement.

A dedicated driver will provide the vehicle check list by handover (to check the conditions of the car by delivery and return).

13. How old do I have to be to rent a car?

We allow car rentals to drivers between the ages starting from 21.

Pointer: All drivers will be required to present a valid driver's license in order to pick up a vehicle and each driver's age will be verified. If the driver's age was misrepresented during the booking process, the rental might be denied. We are not responsible for rental car cancellations due to age misrepresentation.

14. Can I make a reservation for someone else?

You can book a rental car that someone else will be driving as long as the main driver full files all requirements:

- Has a valid driver's license issued in his or her full name. Non-Qatari residents must present a valid international driver's license from his/her home country. An ID or/ & passport may be required. - Has a valid credit card with available funds for the refundable security deposit. - Meets the minimum age requirements. The driver must be at least 21 years of age.

15. Can someone else drive Challenger during my reservation?

You can have as many drivers as there are seats in the vehicle. So don’t find yourself nominated as the sole driver, ask at the counter for Additional Driver and share the driving with your fellow passengers.

Note: All additional drivers must produce a valid driving license at the time and place where they are added onto a rental agreement and must meet the same terms and conditions as for renting. The number of additional drivers is limited to the number of passenger seats in the vehicle rented.

The rental agreement requires submission of Credit Card, and copies of valid ID, Driving license/s. Therefore the mentioned driver/s in the agreement is/are allowed to driver and insured in the case of the accident, god forbidden.

16. How do I add a driver to my rental car reservation?

You can add a driver to your rental car reservation at the rental counter. Along with the additional driver, the primary driver on the reservation must arrive at the counter to pick up the car and add the additional driver to the rental agreement.

17. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, including American Express, MasterCard, and Visa. We are accepting Cash Payment, Checks, Credit Card, and advance Bank to Bank payments.

Security deposits have to be done with a valid credit card.

18. When will I be charged for my rental car?

While booking we will provide you with an estimate of what will be charged when you rent the car. Exact fee will be provided after applying possible add. Fees, surcharges, etc. after returning the vehicle.

19. What fees, and surcharges will I have to pay?

We will provide you with a breakdown of the estimated fees and surcharges that may apply to your transaction.

a. Additional Charges: If you choose to add an optional item to your Rental Car reservation at the counter, the charge will not be included in our estimate.

b. Gasoline: Charges for gasoline will be clearly spelled out on your rental agreement and you are required to return the car with a full tank, or cover the expenses.

c. Additional Drivers: Adding a driver don’t result in an additional fee.

Driver Information: All drivers will be required to present a valid driver's license in order to pick up a vehicle and each driver's age will be verified at the rental counter. We offer car rentals to drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 years old in select locations. Rentals for drivers between the ages of 18 and 20 are available in New York only.

d. Upgrades: Upgrade options can be requested from the rental car company directly and charges will be determined. Charges for upgrades will be clearly spelled out on your rental agreement.

20. What if I have questions about charges that appear on my rental agreement?

Your rental agreement shows charges for all optional items (insurance, gasoline, upgrades, extensions, etc.) and you are typically required to initial by them when you pick up your car. These charges are in addition to the cost of your rental, and are payable directly.

21. What do I need to bring when I pick up my rental car?

You should have the following with you when you arrive to pick up your rental car:

1. A valid Qatari driver's license or for non-Qatari residents, an international valid driver's license along with the national driver license.

2. Your Rental Car Itinerary/Confirmation (if booked in advance).

3. A valid credit card to cover the amount of the refundable security deposit. The amount for the

security deposit depends upon car type, rental period, and optional items accepted.

22. Can I make changes to my rental car reservation?

Changes can be made to reservations, prior to your scheduled pick up time. Simply contact us.

23. Can I cancel my rental car reservation?

Yes. Before receiving the confirmation, free of charge. Afterwards 50% charges apply.

24. Can I pay for my rental with a debit card or a check card?

Payments for the rental can be settle in cash, credit card (or cheques from Qatari residents). The security deposit requires a credit card.

25. Can I pick-up or drop-off my rental car early?

In general, Bookings are only possible within our working hours (8sm-5pm, Saturdays – Thursdays).

However, please ensure to mention the timings while doing the booking, in order for us to arrange the vehicle accordingly to your convenience, depending on the availability.

26. Can I extend my rental car reservation?

Your rental agreement will state the hourly and daily rates that will apply if you choose to extend your rental. Please note, the extra time will be charged to you at the prevailing retail rate.

27. Can I drop my rental car off late?

If you need to drop your rental car off later than you had originally reserved, you should notify the rental partner prior to picking up the car or at the counter when you pick up your car. Keep in mind that the rental car partner will charge you for the additional time at their prevailing retail rate.

28. What if my flight does not go as scheduled?

a. Delayed or Cancelled and Rescheduled Flights:
If you are going to arrive late due to a flight delay, cancellation or reschedule, please inform us immediately.

b. Cancelled/Not Rescheduled/Re-routed Flights:
If your flight is cancelled but not rescheduled, or re-routed to another airport, please inform us immediately.

29. Does my rental car come with insurance?

All our rental agreements come with full-coverage insurance. In case of an accident, it’s mandatory to contact the police immediately to request a police report and contact the agency within 24h to arrange repair/ replacement/ etc.

If the accident was caused by you, excess charges of Qar 2500 apply for repairable vehicles, and Qar 7500 for total-loss. Same or similar replacement car will be arranged within less than 24h.

If the accident was caused by third party, not charges will be applied to you. Same or similar replacement car will be arranged within less than 24h.

All vehicles do not have ‘off road insurance coverage’, and caused damages have to be covered by the customer/ driver.

30. What if I leave something in Challenger Rent a Car?

Cars will be inspected by collection of any damages, personal belongings, etc. We always advise to remove all personal possessions before returning the car, as Challenger Rent a Car doesn’t take responsibility of loss or/& damaged of personal items which are left in the vehicle.

‘Challenger Limousine and Rent a Car’ will not uphold responsibility for any personal belongings left in the vehicle or within the location premises.

31. Who pays for fuel?

The coverage of the fuel expenses depends on the agreement: 1. If you rent the car with a driver, the company will cover the expenses for the fuel.
2. If you rent the car as ‘self-drive’, you are requested to return the car with a full tank, and have to cover all other fuel expenses during the period of rent.

32. When is the ‘Peak Season’? Are the prices different during ‘Peak Season’?

‘Challenger Limousine and Rent a Car’ is maintaining the same price rates, all around the year.
Price differentiate by model and period of rent.
